Musings on .... a dolphin and a labrador

I  just had to share this video.
I wonder if Bosco would ever swim with a dolphin?

Hmmmmm....I like to swim with the girls!
Not sure about dolphins.

Musings on....Cats

Cats have gone missing in the neighborhood.

On the same day, two cats were discovered dead and one is still missing.  It looks like the work of a coyote.  My neighbor has blogged about this and can add more details.

We have a cat that likes to spend a lot of time outdoors.  The girls are extremely concerned about his safety.  We will try to keep him indoors, but it's hard.  He wants to hunt.

The other dilemma is.... do we contact Fish and Wildlife?  Babies are involved, and I would hate to see anything bad happen.  The girls have lost cats before when we lived in Vermont.  The elusive Fisher Cat was known to be the predator in those rural parts.

I understand that a mother has to feed her children, but something feels wrong about it being right in our neighborhood.

I checked out You Tube and have found several videos of cats being attacked by coyote...all in city like settings.

Musings on.....pets

I love our pets!  We have a large male Chocolate Lab and a male white cat.  They add so much joy to our lives!  The kids have such a special relationship with them! The dog sleeps with our daughter every night!  Good thing she has a big bed....he's a big dog!  The stinker ate all of Paget's Easter jelly beans!

Musings on.....the cat

I have been using the FURminator on my cat. Trying to control the mass quantities of dog hair and cat hair in the house has been a challenge. Lately I have noticed that my cat's coat is not soft anymore. I thought it might be the food, or maybe that it spends so much time outdoors, but I have now realized that I have "furminated" the cat a little too much! I think I removed it's undercoat! There is less hair in the house, but I don't have a very soft cat! Guess I better lay off on the brushing!
